These trees may be private or shared with invited contributors.

- Authentication details (via providers such as Clerk)
Profile and contact details

- Delivery information (for printed products)
Family tree data

This may include information about living individuals.

- Provide and operate the TreeLine service

4. Contributors and shared data
TreeLine is designed to allow multiple people to contribute to a shared family tree.
Inviting contributors
If you invite someone to contribute to a tree and provide their contact details (such as email address), you confirm that:
- you have permission to share those details, and
- you are inviting them in a respectful and appropriate context
We may use those details to invite them to access the tree.
Sharing within a tree
By contributing to a tree, you acknowledge and agree that:
- information you add may be visible to the tree owner and other authorised contributors
- the tree owner may manage access to the tree and its contents
- TreeLine may facilitate the sharing of that information between participants in the same tree
TreeLine does not control how contributors choose to interpret or use shared family information once access is granted.
Data about other individuals
Where you add information about other people, you confirm that:
- you have the right to share that information, and
- you will act with care and respect in doing so
TreeLine does not independently verify the accuracy or appropriateness of user-submitted data.
5. Sharing of data
We do not sell personal data.
We may share data with:
- service providers (hosting, authentication, printing, delivery)
- other contributors within a shared tree (as described above)
- authorities where required by law
6. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect data, including:
- secure storage systems
- restricted access
- appropriate technical safeguards
However, no system can be completely secure.
7. Retention
We retain data:
- while your account is active
- and as needed to provide the service
You may request deletion of your account and associated data.

- request correction of inaccurate data
- request deletion (in certain circumstances)
