Mainline only
What is the mainline?
The mainline is built by finding the shortest path between each pair of
protagonists through parent-child and spouse links, then adding all
ancestors of people on those paths.
Mainline only view hides every person not on the mainline. This is
useful when you want to see the direct lineage without any branches
cluttering the chart.
People are not deleted — they are temporarily hidden and will reappear
when you switch back to Standard view or any other view mode.
